An Energetic Take on Life
Life presents us with two options:
Balance
Imbalance
Each choice is equal in a way. One option will balance you, and the other will teach you a lesson. These lessons often come in the form of knowledge about yourself and your body. Initially, there can be minor aches and pains until they spiral into something more problematic. We often miss the early signs of pain.
Dis-ease is a sign of discomfort. At this stage, we often medicate or try to ignore the pain.
Chronic Dis-ease is when the pain has gone on too long, without addressing the problem.
Imbalance can be easy to detect. If you do or eat something and it makes you feel not so great, it created imbalance in your body. However, if you do or eat something that should have balanced you, but did not, then there is a deep energetic problem that can be worked through.
This can get hard to explain, so hold on. The food industry has been adding chemicals to our foods, which alters how our brain works, making us react positively to food that doesn’t positively impact our bodies. This comes in the form of a dopamine spike, which is the body’s reward system. These chemicals elicit higher dopamine spikes than what you get from natural foods. Also, side note, dopamine is the same chemical in the brain that creates addiction to gambling (Gambling and Mental Health). These chemicals can be very addicting and reinforce negative repetitive behaviors (How Food Addiction Works).
A personal example of mine was eating bananas. I loved bananas, but each time I ate one, I got stomach pains and gas. I’d always been able to eat bananas, but as I got older, I avoided them due to the symptoms.
Working with my energy healer, we identified the energetic imbalance in my body (meridians and chakras), incorporated the sway test, and developed a plan to get me to eat balanced food again, without all the symptoms.
Once I ditched the chemicals, I rediscovered my love for fruit, vegetables, and whole foods. When I worked in the corporate environment, I often opted for a quick snack or pre-packaged goods over fruit and vegetables for the afternoon snack. My brain would frequently crave the fat, sugar, salt, and the flavors/chemicals they’d put in the food. I felt like I literally couldn’t help myself sometimes. Not to mention that often, I would be so addicted to the food that I’d overeat what a serving size would be considered.
Our world has become so complicated. The media reports a ton of misinformation, and there are so many choices in life that it can often feel hard to make balanced decisions. This is the process of unlocking your intuition: leaning into the energy, learning how to read it, and making the decisions that align with your best interest.
With love,
Jeri
